Introduction- Green Revolution refers to such a revolution, which makes the country self-sufficient in terms of food items. India is the only country on this earth, which is famous as an agricultural country.
But when this country became a victim of famine due to foreign invasions, lack of use of latest useful tools and other means of rapid growth of population and deliberate politics and mischief of foreign rulers, then a new era was started to make the country self-reliant. The development took place which was named as 'the era of bringing green revolution'. Only then did the Green Revolution make the country self-reliant about food grains.
Importance of Green Revolution- While the Green Revolution solved the biggest food problem of India on the one hand, on the other hand the poverty of so many farmers also reduced a lot. The door was shown to the prosperity and happiness of all the agricultural farmers, small and big.
After getting all these facilities, the enthusiasm of the farmers increased, and they started growing pulses, oilseeds, sugarcane and green fodder.
Benefit from Green Revolution - While on the one hand the agricultural farmers are involved in bringing green revolution, on the other hand, engaged in new research and experiments, government and non-government institutions are also cooperating.
He inspected and tested the fields with the development of good and improved quality seeds and also told that which seed will be sown in which soil, which will yield more? Along with this, he told about the proper use of new pesticides and fertilizer
Measures in Progress - To maintain the Green Revolution, many types of research and experiments are being done even today. The future of the revolution is bright only because of the continuous work of these research and experiment
If this does not happen then we will again have to depend on foreigners for food grains and food items. The consequence of which would be to starve to death or to be ruled by foreigner
